Compliance and Regulation

Our setting delivers compliant education at all times.

Within our first year of launching, Rosewood Virtual Academy will be registering through the accreditation scheme offered by the DFE and Ofsted to reassure children, parents/ carers, and local authorities of the quality of education and safeguarding arrangements offered by our setting.

January 2026 - Phase 1: Part-time/ supplementary provision whilst on a school roll

From January 2026 we will be accepting learners through two routes only;

  • Support/ supplementary provision via the Rosewood Independent Special School roll or whilst remaining on any other school roll

  • On a part-time alternative provision basis whilst a child attends another alternative provision setting (up to 3 days per week, 15 hours only) adhering to guidelines for unregistered schools.

September-December 2026 - Phase 2: Full time school roll at Rosewood Virtual Academy

We hope to have gained registration and approval status to operate as an independent entity at this stage. When the accreditation/ approval is gained, we will open the Rosewood Virtual Academy school roll. At this point, students will be welcome to attend our setting full-time.

Our ongoing commitment to compliance

We are committed to delivering a high-quality, safe, and well-governed virtual education service that meets the needs of pupils with complex learning, social and emotional needs. Safeguarding, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance sit at the heart of everything we do.
